good luck with that...

If only Alan Johnson would stand .....
They're a lacklustre bunch with nothing new to say, and the Unions still in charge.

Any of them would be better than Corbyn. Where's Mandy when you need him for some ideas?

oldbobasusual....I couldn't agree less ! Johnson is a Leader that most could get behind and what is more important, he would scare the pants off the Tories !
Unless Labour get some policies of their own which are relevant to our times, then no matter who the leader is Labour are screwed. Corbyn represents a step back to the (very) bad old days of the 70.

Jeremy Corbyn is Labour's Iain Duncan-Smith
Or he will be if elected :-)
oldbobasusual.....I know that its not popular to say anything nice or positive about Tony Blair but he won 3 consecutive Elections for Labour, and there is an argument to be made that he could have won an historic 4th, if he hadn't stood aside for Gordon Brown.

mikey.....^^^^^ and don't forget that.
Public school education, well dressed, well spoken, Oxbridge educated, then straight into Politics.............so what ie Corbyn doing in the leadership race? But more important.......they may well elect him.
oldbobasusual...I believe that it was John Major that made great progress in the Good Friday agreement, and that it involved talking to lots of people.

I can see no evidence that any British PM will "surrender" to ISIS, unless it to is to make it clear that ISIS is the one that needs to surrender, although the chances of that are slim indeed.

Our present PM is considering asking Parliament, again, for permission to join our allies in military action against ISIS, an action that I would support.
Afternoon Sqad...have you just got up ? (!)
It's easy to forget that even Gordon Brown would probably have won in 2007 had he called an election then
LOL^^^^ cheeky b.u99er.
It was, in part, a serious question Sqad....I know that after your recent medical procedure, you had stopped going to your Club. I hope you are progressing well.
I would think that Tory Central Office will be delighted if Corbyn wins.....he'll soon alienate the centralists and keep them in Tory colours or convert them to Lib Dems.
Yes, thanks mikey.......not back at the Club yet, but swimming in my pool and taking the "old lady" to the shops ( I stay in the car)
