What on earth is going on here ? Ken Clark was the last person I would have suspected of this sort of thing.

//I'm fairly sure that Clarke is innocent here, and no, I can't explain exactly why I say that. //
Great.Just the sort of thing a judge would want to hear from a jury foreman.!!!

If there are no hard and fast facts to report then this was a malicious allegation by an accused nobody against an innocent someone as it stands at the moment .
I suspect that this post was designed to create mischief and seems to succeed as usual. :-(

Let me make it quite clear, for those that have willfully misunderstood me here.

I have no doubt that Clarke played no part in what is alleged by Fellows. To suggest that I posted this link for any other reason than to bring it to our attention is entirely false and mischievous. I am not sure how much clearer I can make that.

So you posted it to bring to our attention that Ken Clarke played no part in what is alleged by Fellows.

Well thanks, mikey...what would we do without you?
Andy Hughes was extremely surprised about Jimmy Saville.

I wasn't.
I wasn't either, Hopkirk but Travis / Harris...I had no idea about.
(psst..don't mention the mug)
Mikey,
Anyone with any prior knowledge of this case, and how it got to court will know that Clarke is an innocent man and the victim here. I believe you had read about the case on Exaro before posting.
Where you went wrong was the "last person I would have suspected" bit. That makes it sound as though you believe these allegations. I don't think that was your intention, but that is why many posters believe you posted mischieviously.

Gromit...you may be right in your last assertion, so maybe I was at fault for not making myself clear.

But you are wrong about my use of Exaro. Its a very problematic source of information, and any use of it needs to be very carefully handled. The first I knew of this court case was the report on the BBC News website yesterday.

And for the record, again, I have no reason to suppose Clarke is guilty of anything here. The court case must be especially difficult for him and he has only very recently lost his wife, and my sympathy is with him.
