I have to agree with my esteemed colleague here.
I interview musicians all the time, and if I repeated a question they had already answered, they would be likely to get up and walk out!
Politicians have to employ more tact and courtesy, but honestly, Kay Burley seemed to be wilfully irritating, confusing inscisive questioning with simple and irrelavent repetition.
One thing I have learned from 35 years of interviewing is that you ask a question, and listen to the response. if there is a development from that answer, then pursue it, and if not, have your next question ready.
It's not that easy, but it comes with experience, something Ms. Burley surely has by now - but you wouldn't think so based on this nonsense!

And how many more years do you think you'll need before you learn to end a question with a question mark, ladybirder? ;-))
If you take someone else to task over their use of our language and its conventions, you really need to be sure you've got these right yourself!
I'm glad you agree with my criticism of Kay Burley, Andy, so thanks for that support. Someone described her as, "The Sarah Palin of auto-cue readers." That neatly sums up her level of common sense and highlights her one and only clear journalistic skill...the ability to read!

You may nominate two people for a variety of reasons - but you owe it to the electorate to explain
In 1964 ( ! ! ) we had a form election at final y primary skool based on and around and during Harold Wilson's first famous election ( famous for er... the smethwick by-election ) - and precisely this came up up - Bloggz had nominated Coggz and voted for Schmoggz and was invited to address the form on the reasons why .....
well I can tell you when I formed THAT memory I neva thought it would nominate it fifty years later for public delectation
That same idea came up during the Thatcher re election didnt it ?
o yeah and some of the gurlz found it absolutely hilarious but they arent very sensible at that age are they ?
