How cool is this guy ...

Every year, he takes part in the Pride Parade ... on his mobility scooter !!
He carries a banner saying " I'm the oldest gay in the village".
In the past, he has been given a criminal conviction for being gay. This weekend, he married his BF, to coincide with Pride Weekend.
That's the way to go when you're in your 90s!

I'm curious to know what JJ will get from the Eds when her thread goes over 300.....☺

"douglas he did not overstep the mark. Just because people have views not agreed on by the majority does not mean they have overstepped the mark. He was not more personally abusive to anyone else on this silly thread. He has views some people find abhorrent -that's not against the Law. AB is becoming more like communist China by the day"
"jim its also universally recognized that Trolls need feeding. This thread was particularly popular with the 'usual suspects' who surf around looking for trouble. They should have been suspended too and the thread zapped."
What's it to be, retrochic? Free speech or summary censorship on your terms?

Well "if" it goes over 300, there's quite a nice little range of gifts to choose from.
Waitrose vouchers (always useful)
A Spa treatment day (although I'd have to get to 600, so I could take a friend)
A day out in Brighton (at least I'd know which pubs to head for)
Be A Moderator For A Day (my current favourite)
Bottle of Champagne (I suspect The Ed has this left over from Christmas)

Retrochic - //Douglas -my whole point is that a poster chooses what they want to do -debate with free speech or just close the thread and stop getting 'wound up'. //
I don't think the two can be separated. In order to enter a debate, you need to be engaged sufficiently to join in, and remain exchanging ideas and views.
Part of that scenario can involve people getting very carried away and passionate, but I don't believe there is a 'cut off' point where debate stops and 'being wound up' starts, you have to assess these issues on a day-by-day, debate-by-debate, post-by-post basis.
