I've always wondered why this catholic, traditional Breton chauffeur was cremated speedily when most French folk still opt for inhumation.
Call me a conspriacy theorist, but teeing off Brenda seems a fatal game.
true, mikey, but there was a pack of rampant journos and photographers hot on their heels and, therefore, the scum press must shoulder part of the blame. Perhaps the Grocer of Knightsbridge ought to focus on this rather than trying to blame/belittle the 'fuggin' Duke of Edinbourg.'
Didn't like her but did not wish her ill. She was divorced from Charles when she died so don't see why the Royal family should have acted any differently.

DTC....very true, that is a huge part in the cause of the accident. But the seatbelt issue is the most important here. I

repeat, if she had been wearing the ruddy thing, she would sill be alive. There were 4 people in the car, and the only one to survive was her Welsh bodyguard, who had his on.

She almost decapitated.....she looked like Nearly-Headless Nick after the crash.
Where do you get the decapitation idea from? She survived for a few hours in hospital. If semi-decapitated she would have died immediately.
I was never bothered about her one way or the other. As to the conspiracy surrrounding her death I'm sure the "professionals" of the security services could have terminated her in a much more efficient and less controversial way.
I remember the day well, far from being a royalist. We were camping so didn't know why so many folk seemed upset on way to the pub, until we arrived and told Newcastle v Liverpool game has been postponed... a collective why? After being told I was upset one of the few Royals I actually liked.

Do you not think that if the SIS were charged by the Royal Family to carry out an assassination they would have picked something a little less public and more efficient then a traffic accident?
as we all know, an accident is often the culmination of a series of opposed events...you could argue that if the press weren't threatening, she would have lived, even with her belt off. Your argument on being nigh-on decapitated is somewhat strong.....
I have a recollection of eyewitness accounts of the time recounting that she spoke in delirium. Not likely to happen in cases of decapitation. I understood massive internal bleeding was COD.
The conspiracy theories keep second rate writers and journalists in business
Arksided I was in the local miners welfare when a team turned up from the local radio to interview people about the death.I was sitting with the stewardess who gave her permission but told her not to expect much sympathy as there were around a 100 football fans spliit pretty much 50-50 between Newcastle and Liverpool all of whom were upset because as one commentedof the death of some rich ***.
Paddywak... lol. Myself being ManU supporter but was with two Liverpool Supporters... who I have to say were as taken aback as me. A game can be played later...
"Knightsbridge Grocer" AOG?
Lets not sully Diana's name......many people loved her and lets leave it at that please.
Maggie...I think he means that dreadful man at Harrods !
...aka The Phoney Pharaoh.
whatever one thinks..two young boys lost their mummy in tragic circumstances..very sad...
Very sad indeed.
