they're not being very quiet at all, are they? You're just not listening. Exactly how many German media outlets do you follow?

Being realistic, friends are likely to be people with similar views to our own.

So.....as far as representing 'Germany' as an entity, one's own friends are.....?

Remember the EU are spending millions of euros on pro federation propaganda. (who's money) I put more faith in an account of someone that I know well(having had many many disagreements)than the disingenuous output of the eurocrats.

Good job the germans are showing some compassion, looks like the answerbank crowd would rather the syrians all drowned before they reached land, or am I reading it wrong?
That is a ridiculous thing to say. Nobody is wishing that they all drown.
Yes, you are reading it wrong. No one on here wants people to die, but the actions of one selfish man, who, having escaped to a place of safety, risked the lives of his family in order to go in search of El Dorado, led to tragic results. This one event seems to have driven our leaders to a frenzied reaction. I don't understand it; this changes nothing.
Khandro I believe lives in Germany or travels there regularly. Please read and digest his last sentence. He should know better that those here with rose-tinted spectacles!!

//Khandro
ichkeria;// Germany, actually, crucially, wants them// No, the German people most definitely do not want any more, and the German press proclaims this every day. It's the government and clowns like the interior minister, Thomas de Maizière who, for what reasons I don't know, wants it, and Merkel tries to appease everyone. I haven't met a single German who isn't concerned about the situation. //

Either some of you are naive or have short memories or both.
It wasn't that many years ago that Germans were burning their cheap imported Turkish Labour out of their hostels.
It made Kristellnact look like a Greek wedding in comparison. These thousands of immigrants that Smirkel has invited into Germany have not arrived there yet.
I have alredy posted 3 links showing the German displeasure in getting all these immigrants invading their Fatherland and as I pointed out they were NOT Neo Nasty fascist thugs.
The real stormtroopers are no doubt planning their offensive strategies in preparation for their new guests.
I noticed the German Poitzei had a pretty laid back attitude to their protesters on the Youtube link I posted a day or so back.
I seem to recall that they really did not want to get to involved when the Nightly BBQs kicked off about 20 years ago.
I do hope I might be wrong but I doubt it in this potential disaster waiting to happen. I think you ain't seen nuthin yet!
If what I predict is correct I will not come back and crow that my prediction proved correct. I will let another wallow in his kudos and say I told you so. I don't do that when a tragedy unfolds!! :-(
Already there are Gyms being burnt which were set aside for immigrant shelter.
Do you think it will stop there. Dream on.

A link to what I described earlier Just in case I am accused of doom mongering and making it all up.

Well, it does appear that Muslim people are not very welcome here, i must admit that i didn't know that the syrians were muslims until a few days ago,and it makes no difference to me,
but it seems there is a fear of the muslims taking over the world, but if they had been christian africans would it have made any difference? would the u.k. have been more welcoming? Lets hope it never happens to us, and we get put into a barbed wire compound like cattle. The hungarians should be ashamed of theirselves.
And to add to the cauldron, mostly negative comments regarding the situation following this article from Toronto: http://www.torontosun.com/2015/09/04/torontonians-urged-to-step-up-to-help-migrants
Why should the Hungarians be ashamed? For facilitating the refugees passage to where they want to go?
// i must admit that i didn't know that the syrians were muslims until a few days ago,// Really?

//it seems there is a fear of the muslims taking over the world// True.

//if they had been christian africans would it have made any difference? would the u.k. have been more welcoming?// Yes.

You may be surprised that there are loads of persecuted Christian Syrians. They were the ones who were chucked overboard when they didn't pray to Mohammed on a leaky boat to Lampedusa by their so called victimised Muslim shipmates.
If Dave agrees to take Syrians can we choose the Christian ones ?
After all we are told by our *** that Muslims are not yet a majority in this country.Let us keep it that way. After all we are a Christian country I am told.

The folk that I know, are not very happy about it, I guess that the media is being told to keep quiet.
Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht,
Alles schläft in Budapest ; einsam wacht
Nur das traute hochheilige Paar.
Holder Einwanderer im lockigen Haar,
Schlaf in Österreichische Ruh!
Schlaf in Österreichische Ruh!

Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht,
Cameron und Merkel erst kundgemacht
Durch der Brüssel Halleluja,
Tönt es laut von fern und nah:
Christ, der Ratter ist da!
Christ, der Ratter ist da!
