I only hope I am wrong, Zacs. But they should not break out the bubbly too readily at Tory HQ. The Conservative victory in May was by no means overwhelming. Assuming that the SNP retains its share north of the border and that the LibDems remain in the wilderness it must fall on the 4m who voted UKIP to decide the fate of the nation. It is by no means certain that they are all disaffected Tory voters.
Lots of "ifs and buts" I know, but I don't think all is quite as straightforward itmany people think.

Apart from the teachers thing, obviously, I agree with NJ's analysis here. The Tories need not be afraid, yet, as Corbyn still has to prove that he can hold the party together. But if he can manage that, then he's just shown that he has the ability to energise a huge and overwhelming number of people. If the Tories don't recognise this and prepare accordingly, then they will have a huge shock on their hands.
A good result. Providing the Tories keep listening to Middle England and nt right-on brigade and bleeding heart luvvies they can do very well out of this.
If however they sit on their laurels we will have a left wing Government in a few years, in which case will the last person out please turn out the light.

“…in which case will the last person out please turn out the light.”
“Won't there be more people than ever to control the lights?”
Unless the current shower stops its obsession with windfarms and solar energy there will not be any lights left on to worry about. They need to stop criminalising power companies for burning coal and set about building some nuclear power stations pronto. Carting shiploads of wood pellets across the Atlantic to burn in Yorkshire is not a viable strategy for securing the UK’s energy supplies. But I forgot, wood pellets are “renewable”. Of course they are. How silly of me.
