Blimey that escalated quickly lol, being arrested for having feet on the chair, utterly ridiculous nonsense, i have never put my feet on a train or a bus chair as i think it shows lack of respect, but this show of emotion from that gentleman was just stupid. If he'd sat down on another chair, how could he be sure someone else at some point didnt put their feet on it...

Hang on - my reply was edited for some reason and makes no sense!!!
I wanted to say Where does it say we are "please insert one religion" country
: 'I cannot sit there. I cannot pray with my clothes on, OK? And I travel every day.’ *** ##

I have never seen a Muslim praying in the nude!!!!
I don't like things like putting feet on chairs but I also don't like men getting in the face of women. If he had asked her in a civilised manner, fine...but he didn't, he came across as a nasty piece of work.

For ages we have always been a 'Christian Country' and as far as I know we still are.
If you know Britain is a Christian country and the woman was correct when she said it is not a Muslim country, why did you ask the question in the first place?
If she feels she must put her feet up I have a spare chair at home that the fragrant Ruby could use.
Yes you did hear it - the lady in question said so.

I am unsure what else you want as a response to your question - ?

The situation is unpleasant - it appears that the Muslim gentleman has an issue with the fact that it is a woman putting her shoes on the seat - I believe that Muslims regard this as disrespectful.

The woman should not have put her feet on the seat - it is impolite and unhygienic, but quite why the gentleman felt he had to remonstrate is not clear.

Had ne boarded the train ten seconds after she got off, he would have known nothing about her feet being on any seat.
There is no excuse for anyone to put his/her feet on another seat on public transport apart from illness, sheer ignorance or malice. Although the man made it a religious issue the real issue is that the woman is just a chav of the lowest order.
I bet this bloke would not have had a go , if it was a bloke he saw with his feet on the seat
oh yeah , by the way - aog's 'Did I Hear Someone Say This Is Not A Muslim Country? ' was a sarcastic dig at those who he believes, think that this country is not being 'taking over ' by muslims
