Should Very Thin Models Be Banned From The Catwalk?
http:// m.huffp ost.com /uk/ent ry/8151 706
France has implemented a rule that models should have a BMI of at least 18 (which is bloody skinny to be honest).
When you see these ultra-skinny models, do you wince?
Do you get angry that young women are having this presented as a physical ideal?
Or, like me - do you think "This is no different from what Twiggy and Jean Shrimpton looked like in the 60s"?

I've just heard from the AB Editor that you've won this week's 'Shoehorn Immigration Into a Thread That Has Bog-all To Do With Immigration' competition.
Congratulations.
Next week, the competition gets harder - the thread question will be:
Should Former Welsh Tin Mines Be The Responsibility of the National Trust?
Best of luck.

It was once said that Marks and Spencer labelled their women's clothes, one size smaller than what they actually were, just to make their female customers feel good about themselves.
But back to the cat-walk, how do Evans plus size ladies shop models, model their clothes, do they choose the smallest size dresses?

Anotheoldgit, yes I think it is true that M&S label their clothes one size smaller for that reason. So do Wallis and other slightly more upmarket brands. I know I have fit into a size 8 at more than one of these shops, whereas I'd be a 12 in other brands. It makes you more inclined to buy. Also, if a 12 is a bit tight, I wouldn't go up to a 14. Sad, I know I'm being manipulated, but true.
