"But I for one, and I am a minority voice on here, but not alone, do not believe that incoming Muslims automatically want to change British society to reflect their customs and faith."
What? You've personally met and quizzed the 23 refugees who Britain has accepted so far?
Are you planning to interview the other 19,977 or at least brief them about the western way of life?
Saudi Arabia, for one example, firewalls their trunk connection to the internet such that only "approved" versions of the outside world can get in. Syria might have done likewise, to lock out anti-Assad dissent.
We know they are attracted by what they've seen of the west but I have to wonder how much they haven't yet seen because it was getting filtered out. Until they are dispersed to separate towns there will be crowds of them milling around encoutering people and behaviours that fundamentalists often object to. Only then will we discover just how broad minded they actually are.
