Gromit /// Are there 13 years of your life that are expendable, locked up by a foreign power without trial?/// Well AOG has spent over 7 years of his life on here and been accused of many things by foreign powers without trial! Should he be paid compensation ? ;)

"However, it is thought Mr Aamer - who described as a 'close associate of Osama Bin Laden' who fought in the battle of Tora Bora in US files obtained by the WikiLeaks website - will be subject to monitoring by the security services on his return."

Imprisoned without trial
The brits agreed this was wrong in 1679 ( Habeas Corpus Act )
Thirteen years without recourse to Justice seems a bit stiff
and after a few years - there is the added pressure of 'we can't let him out now or we have to admit we couldnt prove anything'
or as Mrs Thatcher wrote:" do we have to go thro all this again ? " about some innocent IRA bombers so they stayed inside for another 5 or 10 y

Hold on there, I know we have become the whipping boy for the rest of the world, but this time it is not 'Brits' (as you wish to call us) but the United States who have imprisoned him.

/// Pity there was no divine message in a bottle washed up on the shore giving the answer to this migrant
crisis!! ///
Even if there were, it would take the announcement by our great leaders that they are to convene an 'emergency' meeting in a months time, to discuss the finding of the bottle, then another meeting so as to discuss the feasibility of the contents, and then yet another meeting of how and when to implement the solution, etc etc.
Meanwhile the crisis gets completely out of control, has now is the case.
