I didn't say "everything is about Ukraine" but bring Putin's foreign policies into the question and it's a fair assumption that Ukraine comes into it somewhere.

Not only has Russia put the gas war with its neighbour on the back burner, for now, so to speak, but Putin is now talking about "allowing peace keepers" into E Ukraine. And at the same time urging a World coalition against ISIL. "Give me Assad and I'll pull back from Ukraine" is not so fanciful an idea from his (admittedly deluded) point of view
