It doesn't rain but it pours;

So much for the 'new politics' the poor old Scots were conned into voting for.
Tammany Hall doesn't come anywhere near this.
What the Guardian article fails to mention is that Jennifer Dempsie is the partner of Angus Robertson - SNP leader at Westminster.
Now there's interesting!

The plot thickens.
damned SNP ...! sooner my fellow Scots get rid of their Braveheart fantasies the better

Rhymes with hiss
They are all the same, you will find such people in all political spheres.
Socialism? She is a Nationalist.

If you are going to use daft labels, at least get them right.

Grow up, gromit. If you haven't got anything sensible to say, shut up.

That's for sure, ymb. But I've always held left-leaning parties to higher standards. One expects conservatives to look after No1, it's, sort of, in their philosophy.
I also think part of the SNP appeal was 'a new type of politics'.

Svejk,
I suggest you research the difference between 'Socialist' and 'Social Democrat' and then you wouldn't constantly bmake a berk of yourself.
Question Author
You're the one making a berk of himself. Their name is neither here nor there, they follow socialist policies.
£150,000 invested made £15 million for Scottish economy and £2.7 for Perth
Good bit of business

No they don't they, follow Social Democratic Principles, which is essentially Capitalism with a social conscience.

Back to the story - someone who works for DF Promotions who put on T in the Park, also worked on the 'Yes' campaign. DF Promotions applied for and got a one off relocation grant. Not much of a story. Sounds more like sour grapes from Labour and Tory MSPs who are locked out of power in Scotland

DF Promotions are majority owned by the American LiveNation/Ticketmaster company. They make no political donations to the SNP.
Question Author
I don't blame the company for adding £150,000 of taxpayer's money to the £millions it already makes. In what way did the minister consider it justified? Why did/does she deny knowing someone so prominent/prominently connected to her own party?
// Jennifer Dempsie, a former Yes Scotland staffer and aide to Alex Salmond, who set up a meeting between the cabinet secretary and T in the Park promoters DF Concerts while working as a project manager for the events firm. //

Is Jennifer Dempsie a member of the SNP? We are not told, so the connection to the SNP is just assumed without evidence. Presumably there is an established process for applying for a relocation grant. And other companies apply and get similar help. The difference seems to be that an acquaintance of Salmond was an employee for the company applying.
There really doesn't seem much to answer for and hardly fraud or corruption.

Lol, a little research goes a long way, gromit. She was all lined up to be parachuted into a safe SNP seat (Alex Salmond's, as it happens) before this 'trifle' blew up in her face.
Cheers, Svejk. :-)
