Probably, and surprisingly, they probably haven't cottoned on to the cheaper way to make them. When I was young I seem to recall at least 2 layers of petals on a wire stalk. Now it's a single sheet (of two "petals") pushed on a plastic one. I suspect the 4 "petal" ones are more paper. Give it a few more years you'll probably get a print out and tear around dotted line version.
Well I for one don't give a tinkers f..t. The fine, brave men of the Scottish Regiments stood shoulder to shoulder with their English comrades in arms and faced the same dangers. They were recognisable by their different head gear and their Regimental Tartan kilts. Why should they not add a different symbol for those of their mates who paid the ultimate sacrifice. It matters not and thank you Scotland from a true blue Englishman.
My mum was Scottish. I grew up to be proud of both my Scots and Yorkshire (English came into it somewhere) heritage. What's the problem? Scottish and|Yorkshire regiments each gave of their utmost in a common cause.
