The 'Scottish'
/// Poppyscotland, which raises money to support armed forces north of the border, says it would be "botanically incorrect" to add a leaf. ///

"Support armed forces North of the Border" eh?

Are they any different from the British Armed Forces?

I knew Scotland had their own version of the Poppy, yes.
Awww....it's been changed :-)
Question Author
yes the Scottish, is there something grammatically incorrect there?
On the homepage it says "sweaties"!

not sure what ummmm has been smoking today!
There was, now there isn't.
That's what he posted, Jom, I assume the Ed changed it. Get the hint TTT?
Probably, and surprisingly, they probably haven't cottoned on to the cheaper way to make them. When I was young I seem to recall at least 2 layers of petals on a wire stalk. Now it's a single sheet (of two "petals") pushed on a plastic one. I suspect the 4 "petal" ones are more paper. Give it a few more years you'll probably get a print out and tear around dotted line version.
Have to get up earlier to fool some TTT.
If that was a joke it's way past boring by now

all part of AB advanced censorship, you try and be nice and that's what happens!
Bad luck TTT, you'll have to find some new made-up term of "endearment" I guess.
Yes they are AOG.

They no longer want to be part of us - according to the SNP.
They've obviously got their own poppy to remember victims who died fighting for the Scottish Army
Well I for one don't give a tinkers f..t. The fine, brave men of the Scottish Regiments stood shoulder to shoulder with their English comrades in arms and faced the same dangers. They were recognisable by their different head gear and their Regimental Tartan kilts. Why should they not add a different symbol for those of their mates who paid the ultimate sacrifice. It matters not and thank you Scotland from a true blue Englishman.
My mum was Scottish. I grew up to be proud of both my Scots and Yorkshire (English came into it somewhere) heritage. What's the problem? Scottish and|Yorkshire regiments each gave of their utmost in a common cause.
Surely the point is for the British Legion to raise as much money as possible. The colour or design of the poppy may mean more are purchased.
