sevenOP, and you haven't answered my question. Should anyone accused of a heinous crime and deemed by a court to be unfit to be allowed to roam free, as these man is, be bailed?
cross-posted. //What relevance has that to do with Corbyn stating 'Dahir had 'roots in the area', BEFORE the case was even tried?// .... don't want to answer that one, eh naomi ? //

What relevance has what to do with it?

I replied to your duplicitous, tortuous logic at 14:11hrs.

Seems you cannot even follow the thread without deception.
You are confusing yourself. No deception here.
OK naomi I will ask you afresh:

Corbyn's letter stating Dahir had 'roots in the area' was in support of bail before the trial. What was wrong with that?
Stop The War sounds like the sort of organisation we should like.
After all, who wouldn't want to "stop a war"?

Sadly, they are really a pressure group of largely misguided individuals who really seem to be "stop the west" more than "Stop the War". I am sure they have some good people, but they seem to be keeping very quiet.
It's sad that Jeremy Corbyn still wants to be associated with them. Unfortunately, their hypocrisy is not all that obvious to the general public (and they removed the seemingly IS-sympathetic bloggery that appeared in their name recently) so it may not be the career death-sentence some think.
sevenOP, a strange question - he's hardly going to be bailed AFTER the trial. What is wrong with it? A man accused of a heinous crime shouldn't be bailed and Mr Corbyn should have the sense to acknowledge that. Unfortunately he doesn't.
naomi, IF you had been following the thread more diligently it would not have appeared so 'strange'.

Thanks for finally answering my question and we know definitely where you stand: guilty until proven innocent.
Anyone not granted bail is presumed guilty until proven guilty or innocent. It happends all the time.

Why did Corbyn think this guy should get the help of a MP?
I suspect sevenop is trolling here for laughs. Either that or they're as thick as two short planks and insensitive into the bargain.
Svejk, still trying to think of an answer to my question so decided to throw an ad hominem in? The old 'troll' accusation - is that anti-virtuous signalling?
Won't be the first time that has been alleged, and won't be right in this case, yet again.
The name Answerbank seems incongruous to posters who fear their assertions being challenged, maybe that is why many are so easily sensitised.

I included Port as it also means Left...... Deport I like too.

I guess I could also include a 'Selection of Marcs' too....
sevenOP. your question was strange because it was irrational. No one is bailed AFTER a trial.

As for ad hominem attacks, you are the expert.
// Thanks for finally answering my question and we know definitely where you stand: guilty until proven innocent.//

yup and earlier on today - no freedom of speech, and no support of jury trial

Nigh the reason why we bail so many people charged with heinous crimes is that we dont have the prisons to put them in...

naomi24: -"sevenOP. your question was strange because it was irrational. No one is bailed AFTER a trial...As for ad hominem attacks, you are the expert. "

What is irrational about "Corbyn's letter stating Dahir had 'roots in the area' was in support of bail before the trial. What was wrong with that? " ?

< No one is bailed AFTER a trial. > ..... Really?

"But when Dahir’s barrister Patrick Harte attempted to use the letter again yesterday (Thu) to keep him on bail until sentencing, judge Anuja Dhir QC refused and remanded him in custody...She said that now he had been found guilty there were significant grounds to believe he would fail to appear at his sentencing hearing next year."

You are the one who 'muddied the water' with your post

naomi24
Supporters of Mr Corbyn should be seriously concerned about his mind-set.

i.e. Corbyn 'assisted' in obtaining bail BEFORE the case went to trial and DID NOT 'assist' in any manner in securing bail after Dahir was found guilty.
sevenOP, I repeat, a man accused of a heinous crime shouldn't be bailed and Mr Corbyn should have the sense to acknowledge that. Unfortunately he doesn't. You admire him if you must. I don't.

Peter Pedant, //yup and earlier on today - no freedom of speech, and no support of jury trial//

Not true – but carry on allowing your imagination to run amok.
