Why is the UK, and the BBC, so rapidly and willingly handing itself over to Islam? I give it 20 years and Sharia will rule. We can all see it happening but no-one is allowed to say or do anything about it. Such is the hold they already have. This nation has well and truly had it. There's no going back now.

According to Baldric's link last year in the UK 6,949 boys were named Oliver.
6,212 were called Jack.
Those are the top two names.

Muhammed scored 3499 and Mohammed 2887 a combined score of 6386. Not as many as Oliver.

beth din may well have been operating here for "hundreds of years" but to this day after hundreds of years there are only around 300,000 jews in the uk...whereas muslims in a matter of decades number well over a million and still breeding like rats....

jews have never been a threat to the UK or its security, for the most part they just assimilated and got on with things and didt expect the country to bow down to their wants....the problems this country has with immigration from the past fortyish years is obvious...a loss of our identity and cultural heritage and theres too many people seem hell bent on finishing the job off to make sure the UK's whiteness is destroyed

On another thread I said I despised religion in general and Islam in particular - so you've jumped to the conclusion that because I don't see a threat from Sharia law that is being used by consenting Muslims to settle disputes among themselves it follows that I want anything to do with it.

Thanks for the link, but I hardly think that case demonstrates a concerted effort to bring Sharia Law to the UK. These were three thugs working independently of any formally recognised Muslim group.

And they were jailed.

Which is fantastic.

This story doesn't prove that we are moving in the direction of a wholesale change to our legal process.

If the Muslim Council were to openly advocate and fight for Sharia Law, then I think that iloveher would have a point...but the thing is - even Muslims don't universally support the Sharia.

The irony of this thread is that much of the moaning which goes on in Answerbank (e.g. too lenient punishments) would be overcome under Sharia Law.
