Ex Dragons Den Cleared
of under-age sex, but had admitted he had.
Even though she was only16 and agreed for £60, what the hell was he doing with her in the first place, considering he was Cameron's adviser?

Pretty clear to me that Talbot meant "Lucky to get away with it". To suggest he meant anything else is quite an insult!
But I think he was more than lucky to get away with it. The jury must have agreed that it was possible to mistake this 5ft, less than 6 stone 13 year old for a 17 year old. From Doug Richard's own evidence, he was meeting young women at least twice a month, and chatting to hundreds of them every day, for 4 years. Both girls in this case were under 16, so how many more were? I don't know how he got away with this.
