Pegida To Launch In U K

Tommy Robinson will be the face of Pegida in the UK. Athe founder of the EDL, it appears he has renounced his past. Has he grown up enough to take on his new task though....?

I'd never heard of this guy until he started popping up on AB now and then. I heard him speak on the R4 one evening this week and taken at face value everything he said made absolute sense. To add a large number of people did bad stuff when they were young or held extreme views, people can mellow. I mean, I used to vote Labour.

Zacs...I would leave it there if I were you ! There are people on here that seem to think TR is some kind of messiah, despite his track record and his beliefs.
He can do no wrong apparently, as long as he continues to spread discord and hate. He founded the truly awful EDL, which attracted the likes of Mr Knucklehead, and other football hooligans, and he will do the same with this new British Pegida.
Where else are our racists to go, now that the NF has gone and the BNP is on its knees ?

Ah, I think I know what your driving at so I'll make myself even clearer:
I can't disassociate TR's political stance from what he's saying because he's using popularist feelings to garner support but I know this is a thin veneer of apparent respectability hiding much darker political aims.
I can isolate his words as being a sensible statement. But it's a fact that he has said them. Asking what my opinion would be of anyone else saying the words is wholly irrelevant.

Don't be so superior Naomi !
I am surprised that you, who have every appearance of being educated and intelligent, have been taken in by Robinson so easily. I am not surprised by some of the others on here, but I am when it comes to you.
Look at the youtube I posted yesterday, of Paxo interviewing Yaxley/Robinson....do you really think that TR was being rational ?

Zacs-Master, mmmm … if you say so.
Incidentally, he’s not ‘blinkering some of the intelligencia on here’. Some of the intelligencia on here are simply saying that what he has said is right – and it seems you don’t dispute that. Mikey on the other hand fails, as always, to grasp the situation entirely, preferring instead to churn out his usual tired old accusations of racism, knuckleheads, football hooligans, blah, blah, blah.
Mikey, I certainly don't think you're being rational! What are you defending? Think about it.

Ah, now you're being evasive and only answering part of my question. Please confirm whether you think SY-L would be happy that his aims are met and disappear back into the woodwork?
In the spirit of good debate.....I'm as unsure as you as to the next target but you can bet your pension that it will be a minority group which doesn't fit in with his ideals. What I'm asking is, where does it (he) stop?

Now you're just being deliberately obtuse. I'm beginning to think you may be of the opinion that I have a point.
I've never claimed to know what his next target is but have clarified who I suspect it will be. You still haven't clarified whether you think he would just stop once his current aims are met.
Please answer my 10.27 post.

Svejk, I don't have any Islamist friends. I do wish you'd stop being so polarised in your view. it leads you to wild assumptions which aren't there e.g. Making my condemnation of TR = I'm defending Islamists. The two are very separate concepts, plain to see for most. What your views do show is that you're prepared to de-islamify Europe by any means, without a care in the world about who acheives it.
I'll ask you the same Q:
Do you think TR would be happy and simply stop his crusading, should he be successful in ridding Europe of all Islamic influences?
