As suggested by one reader, the British Government should now seize the GPs property here and use it to compensate the evicted farmer.

///Phillip and Anita Rankin both have British ancestry but were born and brought up in Zimbabwe, employing more than 40 people at Kingston Deverill.//
I believe these two fit the definition of indigenous." Native to or born in a country"
They are not newcomers they are white Zimbabeans.
Funny how when it suits our liberal left will insist Anjem Choudary is British because he was born here.!!

Thank you - I do know what the word indigenous means.
But it is the application of the term that is proving to be a movable feast in debates in this section.

A terrorist born in Britain should not be seen as British simply because he was born here - but the Zimbabwean farmers should be seen as Zimbabwean, because they were born there.
If one is incorrect, then both are incorrect - you cannot have it both ways.

retro - Rather than getting bogged down with dictionary definitions, I suggest that we await AOGs response.
FYI - Both the Doctor (and his wife) and the Farmer (and his wife) were born in Zimbabwe.....when the Doctor (and his wife) moved to UK, it didn't affect quite how indigenous they are/were to Zimbabwe which is where this matter rests. Their status in UK is neither here nor there.

For many years regular frequenters of the News section will have been aware of AOGs pleas that the leaders of this nation put the welfare/livelihood of the 'indigenous' population ahead of that of 'incomers'......
//Could it not be said that this is exactly what Mr Mugabe is doing in Zimbabwe?//
Then the answer to the last sentence must be No. Mugabe is looking after a black skin in favour of a white skin and both are Zimbabeans.

/// Why should andy_hughes condemn these two, if you cannot bring yourself to condemn white racists (Chelsea hooligans on the Paris Metro)
Level playing field and all that. ///
/// A fair point I think. ///
Neither a fair point or a legitimate comparison.
I do not agree or condone such racism, that of which was shown, in what could after all have been a selective edited video.
But the matter of not allowing a person on the train for whatever reason, can not possible be compared with a family losing their home, their farm, their livelihood, to say nothing of their employees who would also lose their jobs etc, just because that family happened to be white.

Indeed it can't - which is why no-one is making that comparison.
The issue is not the actions, it's the racist motivation behind them that's being debated.
And in what way could that video have been 'edited'? The film is continuous and uninterrupted, there is clearly no editing there.
Not sure why you are clinging onto the notion that the film was used to portray the incident for something other than it was - a clear instance if racist mob yobbery - but if you wish to try and make that line stick, then feel free.

Seems perfectly clear to me, even your answer.

Why do you continue to make excuses? Like the time you ruined that other thread, by starting it off in such a way, and then when you were found out you put it down to a little jollity on your part.

Oh dear absolutely pathetic, the lefties are now really scraping the barrel, how can the voice of protest against incoming foreign scroungers, be compared with this situation?
