If this new movement that Robinson has imported from Germany wants to march then so be it. As long as they don't break the law, they have every right to march and protest.....in exactly the same way as their opponents do.

Doesn't freedom of speech and expression work both ways ?

AOG > Maybe, but that doesn't give them the right to violently oppose a legitimate demo.If violence does break out it will not be of the silent demonstrators doing and I hope that the full force of the law comes down heavily on the Far Left Groups or even the Muslims.

We are in agreement which is why I placed the emphasis on the word 'violent'.

If Robinson and others are provoked among Pegida, let's hope they are true to their word and the police act decisively.

Plus who knows? I am slightly hazy on history, but wasn't it obligatory to join up (with exeptions)? We'll never know how many of those who joined up actually wanted to.

They have been allowed to protest all they want but not in the area designated for the peaceful silent demonstration, so lawfully they should keep away.

Nice to see Jezza and Labour MP Liam Byrne standing firm together with allthe other opposition to the march.
It would appear from the Labour use of the royal "we" does not apply to the majority they are allegedly speaking for.
Just had a peep in the Birmingham Mail and the poll said 65% For the march and 35% agin it.
