Now it is you who is being selective, you failed to add the foot note.
*** National Front supporters at the Pegida UK rally in Newcastle city centre ***
/// Some more Pegida marchers: ///
Where?
There is no suggestion that this group were part of pegida UK or anywhere near their demonstration.
But the press and apparently yourself love to band them all together.

AOG - If they look the same then they must belong to the same group and share exactly the same approach. That is sp's stance even though it has been explained the diverse background of the attendees. When I stated to sp that he couldn't possibly know the profile he stated its not 'Miss Marple'.
Methinks he needs to dig deeper rather than judging the book by the cover....

They should have been in Cologne on New Years Eve, then they might have come in contact with much worse than a political party that ceased to exist in 1945.

AOG - //Thanks everyone for a very long and stimulating debate.
Little did I realise that when I constructed this thread it would attract so much support for Tommy Robinson and the concerns highlighted by him. //
In the interests of balance, should you not also mention how much condemnation it attracted for Tommy Robinson and has approach to dealing with those concerns?

AG - // Isn't that sufficient? //
I don't believe so.
If you infer that everyone agreed that Tommy Robinson is a wonderful example for mankind, then all you have is a six-hundred-plus list of people agreeing with each other.
A cursory glance proves that this is clearly not the case - as it wouldn't be, because otherwise there would have been no debate at all - and that is what AOG is thanking people for.
It's a nice courtesy to thank people for contributing to a thread, but disingenuous to infer that everyone agreed with your original position.

I wasn't necessarily supporting Tommy Robinson but I will always say when someone is talking sense ... They are talking sense. I will also speak out when someone tries to make out someone is something they are not.

AG - //Andy, but he is correct. He stated 'so much support', not 'complete support'. //
Semantics is not the issue - balance is.
To have a debate, you must have two opposing views, so in my opinion, to infer that the majority of people support Mr Robinson's views do not reflect the debate that you and I and many others took part in.
