Should The Pope Be Commenting On Donald Trump's Faith?
This is spooky...I was thinking the other day how the CofE were being quite sensible in avoiding making a big public statement on the refugee crisis, because it's such a hot button topic that whatever it said, would be pounced on.
And then the Pope says this:

Do you think it was wise?
Should he become involved?
Is there a schism between true Christianity and support for Trump?

This was a religious statement not a political one, regarding what constitutes Christian attitudes/behaviour. Were it a political statement the comment would have concentrated on how ridiculous and expensive the idea of a Great Wall of America was. (That said, "Family Guy" writers seem to think one already exists, if Consuela's Valentine's Day trip is to be believed. Maybe it's a glimpse into the future.)
Khandro....it does indeed, as I found out to my cost a few years ago.
I thought you could just go in and have a walk around. When I quite innocently tried, two sturdy young chaps in stripey knickerbockers stepped in front of us made it rather plain that I couldn't !
And they had nasty-looking halberds as well !

Additionally, as seen here: http:// www.was hington times.c om/news /2015/s ep/24/p ope-cal l-immig ration- unlikel y-chang e-debat e/?page =all the Vatican has some of the most restrictive and exclusive immigration laws of any country in the world while the U.S. takes in more immigrants than all other countries combined...
/// The Vatican city walls were built in 1534, not 2016 - it is safe to say that times have changed somewhat in the intervening time ///
Exactly, and as we are constantly being told, we are now in the 21st century, perhaps the Pope should now grasp the opportunity so as to further get his preachings across, that it is unchristian to build walls, and then knock down those that surround the Vatican?
He would then be announcing to the world that everyone was welcome into his own sanctuary.
