mrblear, we will need to invest in our fishery protection vessels again. The fishermen of Cornwall, Devon, Grimsby, Perth and many more, could go back to making a living as they did for centuries before the EU destroyed their livelihoods.

Agree, I know my plaice tonight! Will have regrouped tomorrow. No, we won't have another cod war, without research that was with Iceland, wasn't it? Yes, of course we claim our grounds back. Nothing like these is a big problem, it can all be solved by treaties.

When Iceland extended its fishing grounds the UK did not accept this and we ended up with some very nasty clashes before we gave in. I can't see Spanish trawler skippers 'going quietly' if we reclaim areas that they have been fishing legally for so many years.
