She wants out of the UK which also means out of the EU but she also wants in the EU! PMSL. So if the UK vote to stay in presumably she'll still want to leave the UK and thus the EU, if the UK leave she'll want to leave the UK and presumably hope that the EU will accept Scotland on it's own. Talk about the okey cokey!

The last safe country they would have passed through would be Scotland. Simply lob them back over the border.

Anyway, we may be able to take more immigrants from countries outside the EU once we stop the floods from East Europe, plus the Scottish would have to leave too. Plenty of space and i bet the migrants wouldnt whine how good it is back home !

Non EU immigration is already higher than EU immigration. If Scotland left the UK, those already resident here from EU countries would NOT have to leave.

And I’m quite sure it would not. Scotland’s (and Wales's) borrowing requirement would be so great if it was an independent nation that the rest of the EU nations would not countenance their membership. They've been bitten once by Greece and to a lesser degree Portugal and Ireland. Although the Euromaniacs do not seem to learn from however many mistakes they make, Europe's paymaster (Germany) might just.

Wales is legally part of England and has been so since 1536. It cannot therefore secede without permission from Westminster.

Scotland is much less of a basket case than many countries in the EU, not just the PIGS. That's not to mention the seven countries waiting to join the EU.

But they would probably have to sign up for closer political and economic union, which brings me back to my earlier point: why sit on one side of the independence fence when it comes to the EU, and the other side when it comes to the UK?
