Quite clearly mad.
I think she is mad too.
I wonder if you are making a connection that may not be present?

The connection between this woman's alleged psychotic behaviour, and her religion?

A connection which has yet to be investigated, much less proven.
These are not the actions of a sane individual.
Who is to say that she wouldn't have been similarly insane if she had been a Christian or a Jew?

Islam has a recent penchant for this sort of thing.
//The connection between this woman's alleged psychotic behaviour, and her religion? //

from the link //dressed in a hijab....a citizen of one of the Central Asian states //

Mmmm.... but we'll await further information.
Sane and devious enough to wait till the rest of the family had left before she instigated this hideous, vile act.
But no sane person would behead a small child, surely ?!
TTT - //Islam has a recent penchant for this sort of thing. //

That does not indicate a connection - that is merely an assumption on your part.

I am unsure what your point is?

I am not questioning the woman's religion - only the imagined link between her religion and her action, as proposed by the OP.
Sir Alec - //Sane and devious enough to wait till the rest of the family had left before she instigated this hideous, vile act. //

You know nothing about her sanity (which appears highly questionable) - so in common with the OP, you are making an assumption for which you have no basis.
>>Police identified the woman as a native of Uzbekistan named Gyulchekhra Bobokulova.

Andy, you and everyone else before me, except for naomi, have also presumed that she is insane. You also know nothing of the woman's sanity.
andy-hughes, //I am not questioning the woman's religion// - only the imagined link between her religion and her action, as proposed by the OP.//

This from here: http://www.cbsnews.com/news/russia-woman-beheads-child-moscow-head-threat/

// Amateur videos posted online showed a woman in black, traditional Muslim dress, waving what appeared to be a child's head around while shouting "Allahu Akbar" (God is great) and threatening to blow herself up outside the station in northwest Moscow.//

I’d say it’s a fair assumption that her religion influenced her actions.
I think the most we can say is that she is 'mad' and a muslim.....not 'mad' because she is a muslim.
Sir Alec - //Andy, you and everyone else before me, except for naomi, have also presumed that she is insane. You also know nothing of the woman's sanity. //

I think my presumption is on rather safer ground that yours, I am sure you would agree.

Thought-out actions do not indicate sanity, but I think it reasonable to assume - at least at this stage - that beheading a child probably does.
I assumed "allahu akbar" might be islamic.

Like you, I have 20-20 hindsight - but commenting on information not present in the OP does not gainsay my point made against its assumption.

the original link clearly makes this woman Islamic Andy.
