Sp - depends how you interpret most people ;)
He believes the tenets of islam & that infidels should be killed, etc etc. Thereby he does not represent the wider population. He should withdraw in the name of his faith.

However unlikely there is always a possibility, except of course the likelihood of you beating Usain Bolt in a 100 metres dash.
whiskeyron - // One of Islam's main aims is to be the world's one & only religion, //

Do you know that to be a fact - or do you think it is true because the media tells you?

// ... & they are already well on their way in the UK with council members in our big cities & also MPs.//

Given that Muslims are the minority in any council ward or parliamentary constituency, any elected Muslim officials will have to have been chosen by a majority who are not Muslim - which rather knocks your idea of 'Islamification by stealth' on the head doesn't it.

Tambourine > He should withdraw in the name of his faith.

So you are saying he cannot be fit to run in public office because of his faith? Why does his religious belief render him incapable to undertake his duties?

AOG > However unlikely there is always a possibility, except of course the likelihood of you beating Usain Bolt in a 100 metres dash.

Even that is possible, don't forget Bolt was false-started out of a major final! ;)
tambourine - //He believes the tenets of islam & that infidels should be killed, etc etc. Thereby he does not represent the wider population. He should withdraw in the name of his faith. //

What is Mr Khan like then?

I assume you have had an in-depth conversation, during which he confided in you exactly what his interpretation of Islam is, and how it informs his daily life ...

You did have that conversation - didn't you?
Did you have one with you then AH?

You seem to know him very well, or do you?

I wouldn't know the gentleman if I passed him in th street, which is why I make no claim whatsoever about how he may or may not think - unfounded sweeping statements are not my style, I think most on here would agree with that,
Well in that case you dont know what his views are either do you?

Question Author
Youngmafbog, Andy has not made such a claim but is merely questioning Tambourine. It's a fair question.

PiedPiper > That mehdi hasan is a bit of a nutter.

More vague but inflammatory comments tut tut
PiedPiper - //That mehdi hasan is a bit of a nutter. //

That is a gratuitous insult aimed at someone simply because they believe something which you may not believe.

By that argument, you are the same as him - but I would not insult you in a like manner, it's not nice.

Youngmafbog - //Well in that case you dont know what his views are either do you? //

Of course I don't!

Which is why I would not suggest he should resign his candidacy because of his faith!!
PP - //He believes mohammed split the moon in two and went somewhere on a winged horse. //

And you believe decapitating children is a 'Muslim thing' - beliefs are free, we can all have them.
ANOTHEOLDGIT I have not moved any goalposts, you are the one who said it was easy to identify Muslims not me. I have asked you how I can spot the Muslim MPs in Parliament but have not said how to do it.
Question Author
Divebuddy, you didn't my question! Forget his backing of Corbyn. Do you believe Khan's three points of view I gave?
