Not in itself but you may have noticed that Muslims of late have had a teenzy weenzy bit of an image problem, I'll be surprised if he gets in unless they do some sort of rigged block vote.

No, of course it shouldn't, but lots of people will do their damndest to make sure that it does !

It will be used as an "issue" so, instead of a grown-up debate about what is best for London and its millions of people, the debate will drift into a religious rant.

He seems a decent bloke, well educated, smartly dressed and speaks well.

He is a Muslim.........but may this be a problem?

Islamisation of the West is an increasing problem which may well make his candidature, a problem.

A pity for him, but that is the bottom line.
