The 'straightforward point' was that prisoners shouldn't have any human rights. They should.
The subliminal message was that people of colour shouldn't have any rights. They should.

best he sticks to crosswords...mind you looking at all the questions hes asked for help with on them, doesnt seem like thats his top subject...

maths obvioulsy is though... 2+2=5
The facts are that the vast majority of claims are decided by the prison govener who can award a claim or refuse it.Only the 'high value' claims get near a court. We never hear about the claims that are handled internally by the prison service.
Question Author
these scumbags, should not be getting money......why isnt an apology good enough for them ?
We see so many claims because there are an army of specialist 'prison lawyers,' many of whom do no other type of case. They work on a no win no fee basis like the 'ambulance chaser' accident claim lawyers. As it costs the prisoner nothing to try a claim and it is sometimes profitable , the prisoners will keep on trying as long as there are lawyers willing to handle the claims.
Is every person in gaol, trash or scum?
BAZWILLRUN, having a reasoned debate is not your top subject is it?
You go online and enter 'complaints against the prison service' in the search box. The number of sites offering ''support, guidance, forms, and encouragement, is astonishing. No sites for how to complain about serial complainers though. No money in it you see.
Of course not Corby, they are all law abiding and cuddly who would do no wrong.

Dave.
Oh I thought they were misunderstood Webbo.
They are entitled to compensation for the value of items damaged or injuries received just as anyone else is. You do not cease to have rights just because you have a conviction . As I said at least 95% of claims are for trivial sums of a few £s which the prison staff deal with and pay out of the prison budget without any outsiders knowing about it.
I knew I missed something Togo.
