I must admit my thread was constructed in a certain 'tongue in the cheek' kind of fashion, taking into account the recent outcries that not enough black actors are portrayed in TV, films and award ceremonies.

I can't answer your original question AOG, although I suspect that benefit scroungers come in all shapes and sizes.

But this is poverty-TV at its worst.

Why put things like this on T/V ? Why not have city coliseums where people could pay cash to see them performing & instead of throwing rotten veg the crowds could throw money to help these poor unfortunates.
