I could not give a rats plaster about Sunday trading laws but we should not be having the Scottish sabotaging the UK legislature so Jimmy Krankie can stick two digits up at England. Beware SNP, this will not go unpunished:

I guess they are giving us a taste of our own medicine. During the Thatcher years when a Tory MP north of the border was rarer than the Loch Ness Monster, the Scots had all sorts of terrible legislation imposed on them.
Maybe they are trying to make themselves unpopular so that there will be less opposition to them leaving the UK?

We have already been told that there were 20 or so Tory Scottish MP during the Thatcher years. But can any one tell us what was the 'terrible legislation' that was imposed on them and, by implication, not applicable to the rest of the UK?
I feel that the main opposition to the Scots leaving the UK was mainly in their own backyard. I am certain that the majority of, for instance, the English, wanted an out vote. 'Make themselves unpopular'. Haha.

I am certain you are wrong. The NO to independence was orchestrated from England with all the major parties behind it. Mr Cameron and his coalition Government were overjoyed. Every poll showed an overwhelming support for the UK to remain whole.

Yes, the English voted enthusiastically for the Conservatives and their unworkable Poll Tax. The rest of the Kingdom that didn't vote Tory had to lump it. Just like England will have to lump it.
If the Tory MPs had supported the bill instead of rebelling, the bill would have easily passed.
Cameron is a weak Prime Minister with a slender majority and is at the mercy of the '***' in his own party. Look out for further unravelling of the party over brexit.

We have seen weak oppositions before: Kinnock, Hague, Howerd, IDS, Miliband and we can add Corbyn to that list.
The problem comes with weak Governments. Heath, Wilson and Major were poor Prime Ministers hampered by their own party's infighting. We can add Cameron to that list. And it won't be good for the country.

The poll tax was abolished after the London protest rallies, so it was not only unpopular in Scotland. The council tax was introduced to take its place, very popular that is(with councils everywhere). The Poll tax hardly counts as 'all sorts of terrible legislation' though does it.
Mikey you could show more decorum, you know full well that the OP retains the privilege of awarding BA. You can either clap or throw the fish but not decide BA.

My point is that a weak Opposition is normally good for a strong Government: Thatcher, Blair.
But when we have a weak Opposition, and a weak Government, the resulting mess, as witnessed by a handful of Tories defeating the Government, is going to be bad for the country.
While the Opposition should get its house in order, it is more imperative that the Government does. While everyone wants Corbyn to fail, the truth is, that he hasn't yet, chiefly because he hasn't been tested. He can only be removed when it is demonstrated he is an electoral disaster.
