tonyav, i seen him play at villa park in the 70's, i think it around 75 playing for barcelona, poss a friendly, it mesmorized everyone there that night!!

Leeds Utd great Johnny Giles played against him once in the 75 semi against Barcelona which Leeds won on aggregate. He said this of Cruyff:

"He was a great player. He was beautifully balanced on both sides, left foot, right foot, very quick, great footballing brain. He could get in a good position and knew exactly where he was and what was the most dangerous thing to do."
