Seems a fair assumption.

SVEJK I AM well-named since I come from Corby and am male.
No matter what you say, some will twist your views, this person did not deserve this. Capital Punishment comes to my mind.
'Capital Punishment comes to my mind'

Is that what THECORBYLOON gets when his view is contrary?
This man was not murdered because he tried to integrate or because he wished his Christian friends a happy easter. It has now been revealed he belong to the Ahmadiyya Islamic sect.

His murder was a straightforward sectarian act. Just as Sunnis and Shias hate each other, they both hate the Ahmadiyyas. I have heard Sunni friends discus them in unflattering terms.

There is a Ahmadiyya House just around the corner from my home. They dress oddly, and do the Islamic equivalent of latin chants.

/// It has now been revealed he belong to the Ahmadiyya Islamic sect. ///

There's no now about it. This was known at the time I posted this. Why do you think it changes anything?
Is this proof that some Muslims do integrate, thereby rendering the OP incorrect?

As a matter of fact. When you posted your list of probable reasons for his murder, I nearly pointed that fact out to disprove most of them.
But, I couldn't be bovvered.
Svejk
It was not in your link, or the TV report I saw. I am puzzled if you knew this from the beginning, how you concluded it was anything to do with him integrating.

You are right though it changes nothing. He was murdered because of a sectarian campaign inspired from Pakistan, nothing to do with how he got on with his christian customers.
Question Author
You can't say that ,gromit. You're adding 2+2 and leaping to 5.
Zacs, suggest you read what my question says again. Save you looking a fool.
It poses the question 'why Muslims don't integrate'. My link proves that some Muslims do. Ergo the basis for your post is flawed.
Question Author
Sigh;
/// My link proves that some Muslims do.///

And some of them, perhaps, get killed when they try to integrate, hence my question.
SVEJK, the fact he was a member of a particular sect would have been known at the time and that may be the reason for his death. Did you know he was a member of that sect? How many folk outwith his locality knew he was part of that sect?

Reading a wee bit on the Internet shows that many Muslims consider members of the sector as not being true Muslims and they are targeted in many countries. The possibility is that similar attacks are taking place in Islamic countries and it is not an indication of non-integration by Muslims in this country.
It's still 'some' and not 'all' as your OP suggests. The confusion caused has made this thread less credible than it would be if your question was better framed. Sigh.

I could have wrote;
Could the possible reason for this shopkeepers murder, ie. he was trying to integrate with Christians, be one of the reasons that other muslims aren't too keen on integration.

^It's a bit of a clunky OP, and anyway, most ABers seemed to get the gist of what I did put.
See what you can do when you try. Much better. And the past tense of write is written, not wrote.
These are dangerous times we live in unfortunately. I'm scared to know that there are those who would kill just because another decent human being shows tolerance and kindness.

SVEJK,/// the fact he was a member of a particular sect would have been known at the time and that may be the reason for his death.///

a) I haven't claimed that I know why he was killed. (i put a theory forward for discussion)

b) If you and Professor Gromit pause to think about things. He has been a member of his sect, presumably, since birth. He was murdered a couple of hours after posting Easter greeings to his Christian customers.
So, probability would suggest the latter was the reason. (but as I have to keep saying, I don't know it for a fact.)
Are you sure people get what you're on about Svejk? Seems to be a lot of confusion.
