Are Ukip Onto A Winner Here?
Raising the drink driving limit in Scotland and a repeal of the smoking ban in pubs and clubs.

Do you support these measures?
I wasn't aware that there were variations in the allowable blood alcohol levels across the country, so equalisation makes some sense.
But the reintroduction of smoking in pubs and bars?
Seems a bit retrograde.

///oh Yeah ... so long as you have a stogie in your trap! ///
Of course the non smokers, as demonstrated so vividly on this little thread, (once again) never actually keep their 'traps' shut for a few minutes. Their main subject of course always being themselves, and competitive self congratulation, laced with piety. They may eventually, all bore each other to death.

Drives em mad svejk, when they can hear us all laughing outside, and obviously having a damn good get together, whilst they sit in silence, just listening, in case they miss a chance to be offended.
lol that actually takes me back to being 10 year when at school we had a smoking and a non smoking gang.
and lol again.

Its rare to read such drivel that we have seen on this thread.
To answer SP's point......no, UKIP are not onto a winner here, and if they think they are, it just shows how out of touch they are. I thought UKIP was beginning to change but it seems that they are still the home of the weird and wonderful.
Perhaps that barmy UKIP Councillor will be back, you know the one...the one who thought that the terrible floods on the Somerset Levels was caused by the Government passing a law that allowed men to marry !

TWR, I actually did stop smoking for 10 years, so I would advise all you lapsed smokers not to be overly smug. For my part, if am out to just enjoy a pint or three, the sight and smell of burgers and chips invades my personal space just as effectively. Perhaps food should be served only in confined areas, we have an epidemic of diabetes, and over weight people. All due to the phenomenon of food being available all the time, everywhere. Which is exacerbating the over eating problem, which costs the NHS millions a year to treat.
