On the other hand, neither am I when it comes to any insecurities or discomfort you seem to have about transpeople going to the toilets you normally use. It works both ways.
So long as people go to the toilet because, well, they need to go, there is no problem other than perception. And that just shouldn't be enough to justify making a law about it.

This week's entry for The Understatement of the Year competition:
"Some things are more important than a rock show…”
(B. Springsteen - whoever he might be)
He should also have added that some things are also more important than determining which kharzis should be used by which people. At the rock concerts I attended in the 1960s having a bog at all was quite a luxury and nobody particularly cared who went where (within reason).
If so-called transgenders had any sense they would simply use the toilet allocated to the gender for the way they are dressed (which is presumably the gender they feel "most comfortable" with). So, dressed as a woman, go in the women's. Nobody's going to check. Only politicians have time to spend on this errant nonsense.

I also feel sorry for the fans who've saved up and planned for a great night out. I wouldn't be bothered by a transsexual using the women's loos. We can make them all unisex, as in one of the London museums- can't remember which one - or let people use whatever they feel comfortable with.
Since I've typed this I've seen NJ's post. Spot on, NJ.

I wonder if the honourable Springsteen had or had not signed a contract to perform this concert. I note that ticket money will be refunded but what of the fans other expenses, as was mentioned earlier i.e pre booked accomodation, flights ?.
As there is a great propensity to sue at the drop of a hat in the US I wonder if his honourable cancellation will not be in agreement with the majority of his followers who may not share his sentiments and not go unpunished

These laws are going to do more in the USA than stop certain Artists performing concerts, big Businesses have also voiced grave concerns.
If the States that choose to run with this are prepared then so be it, seems a step back in my mind.
I agree with those who have said to use the convenience you are appropriately attired and attuned for until such time more communal/unisex loos are available (obviously not in the states that choose this route in the article).

Seems to me a simple concept.
Separate toilets, men go into the men's and women go into the "ladies."
The transvestites go into the toilet associated with the appropriate dress.......
It depends how you define a "woman?" or "lady" and how one associates their surroundings.
Toilets are smelly places, consisting of the smell of urine and faeces and unsavory sounds which would put me off, my idea of a woman.
The same for a woman...surely the above mentioned smells would "put me off" women.
Men smelling badly in a male dominated area is just.....just.....acceptable, but women smelling badly in an area other than wholly female is totally unacceptable.
If the NJ is happy to go into a communal toilet, smelling of urine and ***, seeing a woman coming out of the toilet with the cistern flushing........good luck to him........but i am not.
As for trans genders? I couldn't care less as they are in the minority, but might i suggest that they go into whichever they feel happier in.
Keep the toilets separate.
