it hasnt wrecked the lives of the 98 dead but the families - say 4 each that is 400 lives who have for the last 25 y suffered the slagging off of their dead relatives
stories of drunkness - urinating on bodies - all untrue and possibly peddled by those who wished to deflect justified criticism.
that is those who were there to protect, instead used their powers to cover up their mistakes having failed to protect
other than that .... yeah complete waste of money
not one of Mrs Y's finest hours - she is also the one who crawled over the innocent irish bombers files - " do we have to go thro all this again ? " and basically believed the people she wanted and needed to
my tip for the top is accidental death aggravated by negligence

Jack...the only purpose of an Inquest is to investigate the cause of death....this was not done properly on the first occasion. That is "the point"
as you put it.
To be frank, I find your comments offensive...if it had been your young son who died at Hillsborough, I am quite sure you would want to know why.
Lets not forget why there has been this second Inquest.....primarily because the Police lied through their teeth in the first one.
The families of the 96 have waited a long time for this moment. After two years of this new Inquest, perhaps we will know the truth at last. And not before time.

I expect a blizzard of clichés and platitudes following the verdict.
Lessons learned etc and no effect whatsoever on pensions or subsequent career progessions gained since.
If it helps the families of the dead then fine but like all British enquiries it ends up with a posh bloke mumbling the same old stuff then waiting for his next gig.

// No matter what the verdict, no further action will be forthcoming.//
jackie you have missed the point of a coroners inquest ( under the old 1888 act ) which was not a point on a journey ( or decision node ) but a process in itself- who died where and when and why
admittedly at the Gibraltar inquests - completely different - the IRA lawyer said of the really truncated inquest - 'all we are going to find is that he four people are dead but we know that already ...'

Jack...I will disagree with anyone that has expressed the cold-hearted comments made by you this evening.
If you are going to make comments like you have this evening, you must expect some flack. After all, I am hardly the only one on here tonight to disagree with you, so please don't make it personal.
