A lot of people on here, especially our right-wingers, decried Obama's "interference" in the referendum. Can I presume that those same people will also say something similar, now that the Trump Ogre is agreeing with them ?
Jim, that isn’t accurate or justified. I don’t think anyone minds anyone voicing an opinion. Obama, however, extended his rhetoric far beyond a simple opinion - that was viewed as 'interference' - and that's what people complained about.

I agree Naomi....Trump is very good at "one-liners" .....in fact that is all he does....no reasoned arguments, or policies.....just inane one-liners.
lol

I have had time to think about this and I now realise that, Yes I would vote to join.....not ducking the question enough Naomi ?
It's surprising that Trump is so keen on one-liners, for someone with such an extensive vocabulary -- who "knows all the best words", as he once so eloquently put it.
But anyway. Maybe that brevity is part of his appeal, at least for the time being.
Jim, The art of good communication is in transferring your message to the listener/reader as succinctly as possible. No one ever gained from being bored to death by someone else’s unnecessarily lengthy deliberations.

thought you were referring to AH for a minute...
as for mikey, yet again proves he can read but cant process...foot , mouth, shot are all words that spring to mind...always wondered what the sound of wriggling and squirming was like...
At some point, you also have to say what you are actually going to do -- which usually takes a little longer to say. On most policy issues, Trump has tended to stick to "I'll sort that out", or some such, which isn't really saying what he would do is it? It's possible to be *too* brief.
Naomi...my point was to canvass our pro-Brexit fans on here if they thought it was OK for Trump to express an opinion or not, as most of you thought that it wasn't OK in the case of the opposite case of Obama.
Some of you have addressed that point, but most have been content to just concentrate on a play on words.
