Careful Khandro! You're in danger of making yourself rather unpopular around here! ;o)
Getting bored with it. Is the point that Sadiq Khan is a solicitor ? And solicitors represent folk both innocent and guilty ?
OG, He specialises in Human Rights (that says it all!). If you're bored, perhaps you'll consider posting a few threads on other topics. I'm sure everyone will welcome them and add their bit.
Starting threads on subjects I'm not that fussed about won't make Liberty GB's video any more interesting. He did his job here, and he did his job there and he did his job here and here too and he did his job there and ... must get to everyone after a bit.
OG, you didn't watch the video then?
On the contrary, as my description shows. But 2/3rds was much more than enough.
Perhaps you should try the other third.
OG, why expect other people to alleviate boredom? If you don't like what they're posting do something about it and post something you are interested in.
Why are you so insistent about exploring my boredom with the video and trying to get me to post new threads ? I repeat that the whole issue is the Liberty GB video, and how boring it is to anyone who watches it; not how bored I, in particular, am with it. That's irrelevant. If the video had anything useful to say they'd have put it at the start and not expect folk to endure the repetition of how a solicitor defends folk before coming up with anything useful.
OG, I’m not exploring your boredom – simply perplexed that despite you saying elsewhere that you feel no need to entangle yourself with the subject again, your boredom hasn’t deterred you from posting again about your boredom. You posted this yesterday on a related thread.

//think maybe many are fatigued to the point of being in a stupor regarding the subject, are well aware of others opinions so feel no need to entangle ourselves again, neither by supporting nor disagreeing.//

Back to the subject.

Khandro, it appears that Mr Khan, less than a week into his new role, has broken his first pledge.

OG:// Is the point that Sadiq Khan is a solicitor ? And solicitors represent folk both innocent and guilty ? //

No, the point is that he wouldn't defend the human rights of Tommy Robinson,
so he is a lawyer with a cafeteria approach to whom he wishes to defend and we know who they are

Sit back in your relaxed manner and over the coming months watch it all unfold.
As you indicate I said that the lack of posters generally was due to many feeling no need to entangle themselves with the subject again. So far this thread has just 3 people posting on in, and that includes the OP. I think that suggests I am correct. However sometimes I fail to resist not posting.

I think we can agree everyone needs legal representation. I've no idea why Khan opted to pick the cases he did. Maybe he thought they were a challenge ? Just IMO too much is being made of it to muddy his reputation. Lets see what sort of job he does as mayor; he's unlikely to do worse than all the previous mayors.
OG,// So far this thread has just 3 people posting on in, and that includes the OP. I think that suggests I am correct. //

I don't think that's entirely fair. The question wasn't posted until after 10pm last night. I don't think many of us stay awake on AnswerBank all night!
Opening lines...

// Sadiq Khan Took his oath on a copy of the Koran, so this shows he puts Islam before his country. //

Did Boris swearing on the Bible prove that he put Christianity before his country? That set the tone for the rest of the hatchet job.

Paul Weston is a well known rightwing nut job. In the General Election he polled 158 votes. He is also known to the police for racial and disorder offenses.
Gromit, //Did Boris swearing on the Bible prove that he put Christianity before his country?//

Does Boris claim to be a Christian?
Boris is Church of England, as you would expect.

Khan swearing in ceremony was a multi-faith event, as was Johnson's four years ago. A fact that Mr Weston was either ignorant of, or decoded not to share woth us because it didn't fit his biased profile.
//Boris is Church of England, as you would expect. //

On paper. There is no comparison between the Church of England and Islam.
Never said there was.

I asked whether Boris put his religion first because he swore in on the Bible. If he didn't, that wpuld suggest that whatever fantasy book the Mayor swears on does not prove he puts his religion before anything else, as Mr Weston seems to be saying in the video.

He was farcically apprehended by the police for reading and directly quoting from a speech by Winston Churchill !

Khandro,
I just told you all that. From your link...

// [he] was detained after he failed to comply with a request by police to move on under the powers of a dispersal order made against him and he was arrested on suspicion of religious/racial harassment. //
