It's amazing, sg, isn't it. I hope this inspires more British children to become mathematicians, physicists and engineers. I wish I were 25 years younger and had been more ambitious.

Not all can be fit enough to be an astronaut/cosmonaut, but perhaps when today's kids come of age it'll be the new "holiday abroad".

I still cringe at my Senior Moment. After the grandchildren's Christmas concert we were talking the children and taking pictures, I "heard" my daughter say to her daughter, ask Mr Whoever if you can watch Twin Peaks at 11 o'clock. Didn't sound like a suitable end of term treat!
It is reported that Major Tim Peake, will be spending 3 weeks under medical surveillance, is it all worth while, what has actually been achieved?
The medical surveillance is part of the whole point of being there- research into the effects of long periods in zero gravity
