"Our future is ruined" is such a bald statement. In what way is it ruined? Other than take photos of people and placards, no effort has been made to extract their views, in detail. Without detail, we cannot begin to tackle their disgruntlement.
What European languages have they learned to speak? Do they plan to work abroad for most of the rest of their life? What do they think the EU could have given them which they have (supposedly) now lost?
Cameron failed to sell the benefits of EU and only offered vague, yet sweeping, generalisations about what would be dire about leaving and that's all they can parrot.
p.s. The article said nothing about them being lefties. They don't appear to have interviewed any protestor to that depth. As I said, above, they've just jotted down some soundbite quotes.

One doesn't expect thanks from the youth when one saves them from themselves, but when they are older they'll be amazed at how different their view has become. I suspect they will find that they are so relieved that the country hasn't failed completely due to mass immigration, overcrowding, lack of resources, and overwhelming welfare bills/taxes. And the benefit of being able to run their country for themselves instead of being dictated to by some unelected elite !
Meanwhile they might wish to consider what democracy means. Lord knows we see little enough of it for a country that claims to be democratic. If they believe in it then they ought not be protesting.
Presently Lily Bowen fails to realise how positively this will affect her future.
Matt Cooper fails to realise that the older generations have ensured there won't be any pieces to have to pick up.
I hope Grace Lansbury understands the repercussions of the outcome, but her tweet suggests not.
Jon Gleeson should learn what "screwing us over" means. For sure it doesn't mean saving you from making a mistake.
Anyone who thinks they are not British are welcome to renounce their nationality and find a nation that they do like.
Perhaps some gratitude is in order for those who opted to endure a period of turbulence in order to ensure that there is a nation worth living in, and worthy of being proud of, as their inheritance to the next generation. But no adult is holding their breath.
