Jim, I equate his reference to 'unfinished business' to Nicola Sturgeon's unfinished business. He would have fought on for what he wants, just as she is fighting on for what she wants. He didn't say that he would want an immediate replay as the 'Remainers' want. People are putting words into his mouth.

I don't think I've ever implied that he wanted an immediate reply myself; just, one within his lifetime.

Regardless, the "unfinished business" comment is revealing. I don't think anyone would have expected Farage, or anyone else on the Leave campaign, to shut up and accept the result passively had it gone against them. They would have continued to campaign for Britain to leave the EU. And why not? That's what they believed in, and even if they were on the losing side, particularly in a close vote, the issue of what was best for the country would remain a topic of debate.

It just works the same in the other direction, is all. Sour grapes it isn't.
