Erdagan has been speaking on Turkish TV, via an iPhone FaceTime link, but also infront of the media. It looks like he is still in Turkey.
He has urged his supporters to take to the town squares and there are reports that the people are doing that.
It's early stages, but unfortunately it does not look like the coup has been successful.

I'd take that with a pinch of salt, given that one side will be heavily armed, the other(Erdogan supporters) won't be.

May be, just, may be our friendly Turks will no longer be able to fund Daesh by purchasing cheap oil if this coup achieves their goal.
Nice country for a holiday once. Seems like it's tourist industry will take a bigger nosedive now.. Always a villa for DC and his brood I have no doubt.
