Can we stop with the snitty patronising and squabbling, please?
For someone who prides himself on being one of the Elder Statesmen of the site, you can be remarkably childish, AOG.
If you think it is reasonable to pick up every typo or grammatical error made by those you disdain, I shall make sure that you are similarly brought to task...

jack-the-hat
/// If you think it is reasonable to pick up every typo or grammatical error made by those you disdain, I shall make sure that you are similarly brought to task... ///
Yet another threat from you, but don't worry your head, I am similarly brought to task on a regular basis, mostly by those who object to others doing the same.

//Ah when good old 'virtue signalling' gets a mention time to abandon thread.
Trite and worthless phrase.//
Hey, Mamya, not so fast! Please come back.
Never much like "virtue signaller" as a term of abuse. The phrase is not so much trite and worthless as otiose. Far better word for the ostentatious parading of virtue.
"And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward..
That's Matthew 6:5.
And here's verse 16:
"Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward."
And I forgot verse 2, Mamya:
" Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward."
