How many times is the Daily Mail going to gasp and point at Ronnie Wood for fathering a baby in his late sixties.
Surely the 'novelty' has worn off by now? It has for me!

O'Connor received some criticism for having his fifth child (Adam) later in life. Of this he said, "Happily, though, I'm not experiencing that at the moment. I had people saying I was selfish. But what's selfish about that? How can you say to a woman you've been with for 15-odd years, 'No, I've got four and we're not having any more?'. That would be selfish."

Naomi - //You cannot possibly even begin to comprehend the impact that such a tragedy has on the lives of those left behind. //
I think you are missing my point by making a different point.
I would never for a moment diminish in any way the endless raw agony that the loss of a child must create in any parent - as a parent and grandparent myself I cannot imagine it, and hope that remains so.
But my point is nothing to do with the grief that Ms. Hunniford undoubtedly feels. it is about her willingness to mention her loss at any and every opportunity, whether it is relevant and appropriate or not, and that is what I find distasteful about her and her approach.
When Linda Bellingham's widower appeared on Loose Women, cut up to his eyes and brains in grief and loss, instead of being enveloped in the love and sympathy of Ms. Bellingham's co-hosts and friends, he had to endure GH talking about her daughter again - as though she is the default expert on bereavement.
That ghoulish need to trot out her grief in public is unseemly and inappropriate and that was, and remains my view about her.

That is a fair point - who is anyone to tell anyone that having a child later in life is wrong. I personally take issue with women beyond natural child-bearing age having IVF to conceive, that is a separate argument for another debate.
My OP concerned the Mail's constant reference to Mr Wood being an older parent, and being photographed looking tired, as though this is some sort of novelty, and deserves a mocking 'We warned you ...' finger wag.

@ Andy
At the risk of really throwing a red rag to a bull Gloria said this on the death of Sir Terry Wogan:-
'It was like losing a member of my family'..
Now,I know they are both Irish and were good friends but... [space for Andy's comments].
Now,I know how much you adored Sir Terry :)
