He's entitled to his opinion given his experience and he may well be right - it could take that long.
So tedious to have to translate posts into English......

you mean you do not know the words "Equine" and "guano" - what school did you not go to eccles?
"Because Europe was for many countries still a model, a model that you can achieve peace among peoples and states that waged wars for centuries, so it was a model of co-operation and integration."

'Achieve peace','model of co-operation and 'integration'.

Kiddin' right?
My very good school frowned upon rumpy pumpy, I have no clue what you are wittering on about......yet again. My lack of comprehension has nothing to do with my education and a lot more to do with your curious use of the English language.

a laudable intention ag but long since hijacked by the empire builders.
If you have reached a level in your profession where your opinion is both sought and heeded, it must be hard to accept that it is now neither.

This gentleman is one step above a pub bore - he has an opinion, but opinions are like bottoms, everybody's got one!
Question Author
there is a link eccles
a) It's called an opinion;
b) It's probably not unreasonable to expect Brexit to be delayed until the UK Government feels it's the opportune moment to trigger Article 50
c) It might well be argued that a former president of the EU Council has, at the very least, no less say on Brexit than some random guy on a random website that nobody else cares about.
d) Anyway Brexit will lead to a negotiation, rather than a "these are our demands, EU" -- "OK then, have everything you asked for" fait accompli. So EU mandarins will have a role, no matter how hard you try to hide this truth from yourself.

She probably never went to one that spelt Ridiculous like this .... 'Ridiculous' and not like this 'Rediculous'
Question Author
jim, if our brexit team have an ounce of gumption they'll not "negotiate" with these charlatans. I've yet to see anything that we need to "negotiate" about. You like the rest of the SGB are trying your best to find some why of making brexit look wrong and no matter what you do it seems to keep looking right. You are an intelligent guy jim, try looking at it objectively, put down the grapes and start from an impartial position.
If your equine should start to produce guano - call the vet.
Indeed Mamya.

TTT! You have a special skill in making yourself look daft.

I *am* looking at it objectively. Brexit is going to happen, so far as I can tell, but objectively it must of necessity involve negotiating with the EU. I didn't comment on the outcome of those or what I think they will be; that will depend on the attitudes of both sides. But you are kidding yourself if you think that Brexit is going to be smooth, organised, and entirely down to what *you* want.

If nothing else, bear in mind that we are in the EU at the moment. We can't just up sticks and leave when being inside the EU involves integration at every level. There will be plenty of microsurgery involved. Or you could just rip an arm off, and see how that works out.
Question Author
so only etymological observations mamy/eccles no actual input to the discussion, right oh!

Jim: what actually is there to "negotiate"?
Etymological is too long a word for my limited education.......
Yes, I commented on the link........

'Why do the EU mandarins think they have any say on Brexit'
Read this especially paragraph 4.

This is NOT my view ( I have had plenty of abuse on that!) it is what will actually happen. I often think no one apart from me and including the government has actually read this!
