Last month, we found out that being a professional psychologist lying flat on the ground doesn't stop bullets, and now being a pastor with hands raised doesn't work either:

As these gentlemen weren't gangsters, exactly what should black people do now?

Anneasquith > A slight diversion, were I a mother of black boys/young men in America I'd be extremely anxious when they left the house :-(

Yes, who knows what they are capable of getting up to and who they might be associating with.

Only natural to worry being a parent.

I was watching the protestors till about 3.15am this morning, and there seemed to be loads of young people, some looked drugged/drunk and very verbal, so where were the parents.

On a lighter note, I thought the trousers worn half way down the backside, showing the boxer shorts, had gone out of fashion, it hasn't, and it still looks so ridiculous :-)

/// There would be no protests in Charlotte if the police would just stop shooting first and asking no questions after. ///

They are not protests, they are criminal riots.
From AOG'S link:-

'It's come to this. We had a nice march, but a few people came here to make trouble,' protester Tongie Antunes told DailyMail.com. 'It makes all African Americans look bad.'

I think you should be concentrating on the murders of innocent black people, rather than the reaction to those murders.

Like you have said before - if you don't condemn, then you must be tacitly supporting.

I think people should be concentrating on the facts of the case rather than the murder or reaction to it.

The full facts will be determined at the inquiry and is not simply a case of a black man was shot by a police officer.

Since none of us are in possession of all the details, I defy anybody who considers that it is wise and justifiable to challenge another to enter into condemnation.

The same word 'innocent' has been applied to the victim several times on this thread.

Why is it not possible for some to accept that the female officer may also be innocent?

As tragic as this case is, there has to be perspective, which is sadly lacking in many responses to this thread.
Agchristie...I guess part of the answer to your question lies in who shot who.

If the black motorist had shot the Police Woman, instead of the other way around, then I am not sure anybody on here would be suggesting that he was in any way innocent.

I am quite happy to wait for the outcome of the inquiry, but it has to be said that it is not looking very good for the Police Woman as it stands today, especially as it all was caught on cameras belonging to the Police themselves.
My mistake...nobody was killed....I was getting this confused with another killing of a black man.
Mikey > If the black motorist had shot the Police Woman, instead of the other way around, then I am not sure anybody on here would be suggesting that he was in any way innocent.

In my view, the same principles apply. It is entirely possible that in such circumstances that the black man may not be guilty of wounding or murder, etc.

My point is, it is easy to ask for condemnation but it should not be made prematurely.
Lets wait and see shall we ?
^ undoubtedly.

"My last post on this subject was at 16.17 yesterday, yet you stayed up until the early hours of 1.28 to have your usual rude dig at me".

Are you really so narcissistic that you would think someone would hang around on AB to (as you say) have a "dig" at you? Wow! That is pretty egocentric.

It played on my mind so much that I forgot that I'd actually posted it, but thanks for re-posting it :-) Hence this reply.

If you have the wherewithal to make this post, do you also have the energy to answer your abandoned and unconcluded post re your issue with this post of yours:

I expect silence.
...I assume it was you that reported it in order to get it erased.
Congratulations to the Tulsa authorities for not allowing this to drag on any longer :::::::
