As BBC Business News put it this morning 'Merkel has ended up in a cul de sac of her own making'. She has refused to allow the Italians to subsidise their banks (as the strongest voice in the EU). So now she cannot go ahead and do exactly the opposite with Deutsche Bank.

And yet a German media boss says we`ll outdo Europe after Brexit.

did Brown do the right thing by nationalising banks? Iceland seem to have pulled through after letting their own banks sink or swim.

Deutsche is Germany's second biggest Bank and although not in the top 25 is still far bigger than anything Iceland could put forward.

Could it collapse Europe, no not on it's own but if they are going how many others from the shattered economies of the Euro states will follow?

OG, With the Chinese having the top 3 slots of the biggest Bank in the World I am sure they could. But will they? Deutsche is a croc of poo at the moment and not just in financial terms.

Plus and here's the rub, the yanks are hunting Deutsche down for malpractice and moving on dodgy accounts, whilst trying to stitch up a deal with the EUSSR and put us at the back of the queue. Ohh deep joy.
