Us Election 2016: Trump 'a Genius' If He Paid No Taxes - Allies
http:// www.bbc .co.uk/ news/el ection- us-2016 -375332 63
We have been hearing for months now, that Trump is a very wealthy and successful business.
But now we are being told that he has lost so much money, over the last 18 years, that he hasn't made enough profit to any taxes !
You couldn't make it up !

TTT he avoided tax by claiming a loss of over $916 MILLION !!! Hardly good for someone who constantly boasts of his business acumen and success!

Did you manage to keep your face straight when posting that?
Trump is adept at starting/buying companies accumulating goods and services from smaller supply-companies and then declaring bankruptcy.....thereby causing a knock-on effect of lay-offs and bankruptcies. Every person affected by his sharp practise has a vote.
" He can't be both a billionaire and earn so little as to not have to pay tax.....the two are mutually exclusive. He may well have some sort of 'sweetheart' deal with the IRS but that makes him singularly unsuitable to be head of a government which relies on the receipt of taxes to fund the running of the country."
shows how ignorant you are.....no one is above the IRS and yes i can quote you if need be !

I'm not sure why it's curious (and anyway you chopped off the "in this" bit, Naomi, which is a reference to what I'll describe for now as just "questionable" business practices particularly with reference to Trump University). But there is no contradiction in a man being on the technically right side of the law and still finding him to be an odious man who shouldn't be let anywhere near the Presidency. After all, those who oppose Clinton are adopting essentially the same position, as she too has been found guilty of nothing without escaping bile and hatred on a level never previously seen (except for Trump).
But anyway, there is no contradiction, or nothing to be curious about. What's relevant isn't the legality but the blatant hypocrisy, and from a man running for high office that matters.

Jim, //What's relevant isn't the legality but the blatant hypocrisy, and from a man running for high office that matters. //
And what about the blatant hypocrisy of Hillary Clinton who is also running for high office? Apart from anything else, she's a serial liar and is proven to be a serial liar. I don't support either of them, but I do like fair play. You absolutely slate him for what you consider to be his failings but completely ignore hers. That's hypocrisy!

Hillary is a very nice lady.
In the past, I may have suggested that she was not the best candidate.
But then I found out ...
JOHN ASHE
Was going to testify against the Clintons (illegal election donations)
DIED MYSTERIOUSLY ("dropped a barbell on his own throat!!)
VINCE FOSTER
Was going to testify against the Clintons
DIED MYSTERIOUSLY ("committed suicide" before he could testify)
SETH RICH
Was going to testify against the Clintons
DIED MYSTERIOUSLY (shot in a "robbery" in which nothing was stolen)
GERRY PARKER
Was going to testify against the Clintons (had a file on Clintons illegal activities)
DIED MYSTERIOUSLY (shot after him home was broken into - nothing taken!)
JAMES McDOUGALL
Was going to testify against the Clintons (corrupt real estate deals)
DIED MYSTERIOUSLY (suddenly "had a heart attack" before he could testify)
MARY MAHONEY
Was going to testify against the Clintons (sexual harassment)
DIED MYSTERIOUSLY (shot in a "robbery" in which nothing was stolen)
Etc, etc, etc ...
So, in the interests of my own safety, I'd like to say ...
Hillary, and Bill(!) are lovely, very very nice people.
Very nice indeed.
Extremely nice.
:o)
