"Monica, go low!". Ain't that what Bill said when he cornered onica in the Oval Office?

But I digress. We're on the Trump tapes now. OP is Hillary quoting her "friend" Michelle Obama. (When did those two last lunch together?)

Not the best start for Trump. He's sniffing again, but he's on the attack.

//But the fact remains - it is Mrs not Mr Clinton who is running for office, and she should be considered on that basis only. //

but the fact remains - a win for Mrs Clinton will see Mr Clinton at her side in the white house. is it really credible that he will take no action designed to guide or influence her position as president?
I imagine there have been many times when Hillary has wanted to punch Bill's lights out because of his behaviour.......she might have even done it.

But, as a couple, they have always both had their eyes on the prize.....being President of America. Together they managed to weather the storms (personal and otherwise) during his campaign and his tenure of office; and they will do the same whilst she attempts to become POTUS.

I don't think it is possible to get into the Oval Office without selling part/most/all of your soul to the Devil. The winner is often the candidate who appears to have sold the least....

Probably not - but is it not a similar situation, that Mrs Trump, whose moral compass has to be viewed as somewhat in need of attention considering the man she remains married to - may seek to influence her husband in matters of importance?

That is a risk we take when we elect married politicians - and we always do.

I think there are far more hidden sinister individuals with secret agendas, who will hold more sway with either victor, than to worry about the potential impact of their spouses.

Billary Clinton have already spent 8 years at the White House where they will have exercised an equal amount of influence; it's simply that Mr Clinton was 'notionally' POTUS.

I have no trouble imagining the same situation with *Mrs* Clinton, this time, at the helm.
Just before I go I want to add this.

Clinton said Trump should apologise to Obama for 'the racist lie that Obama was not born in the USA'

Trump replied with (not word for word)

'Well you owe the president an apology because you and your campaign started the birther issue'

She didn't come back at him ... interesting.
Trump droned on and on about whether Obama was born the US or not, for years and years.

In the end, he had to admit he was wrong, because all the evidence was overwhelming, but I don't recall that he ever apologised ?

Trump doesn't "do" apologies.....he just blusters and changes the subject.
