UKIP are responsible for the Government holding a referendum which resulted in the 'Leave' vote. That will have a profound effect on the UK's future. I still think it will may well have the consequence of splitting Scotland from the rest of the UK. That in my opinion would be nothing short of a calamity.
Well, we had the BNP and the National Front. We have "Britain First" I suppose as well now.
But in general we've tended not to give much support to extreme parties, left or right. So these groups tend to spring up but then subdivide like cells before too long.
AOG...the rise of the extreme right, is a concern for everybody, not just the citizens of the countries concerned.
But here in Britain, the BNP, National Front and Britain First never amounted to very much and probably never will. UKIP is going the way of the all the others, defeated in its ability to control its more extreme Members.
Mikey, //the rise of the extreme right, is a concern for everybody//
In that case you should be far more concerned about the high percentage of people in Europe and the world who harbour sympathy with fundamentalist Islam - because none are further 'right' than they are. The numbers of westerners who support far right groups pale into insignificance by comparison.
